What you can learn from it
Average physical and financial assets and average outstanding cash debt for rural and urban households in India, as at 30 June 2018. Each average covers all households in its group, including households without debt.
WHY NO PERSONAL RANK?
Why it stays Explore-only
These are rural and urban averages—not the wealth of a typical household or a breakdown of how many households have more or less. They cannot tell you where your own net worth ranks in India. WORTH99 does not subtract the averages to invent a median or ranking.

RIGHTS / SOURCE NOTE
How WORTH99 uses it
The four NSO/MoSPI-authored rural and urban household averages come directly from the official PIB NSS 77th round press release. PIB's published copyright policy permits accurate reproduction of its own website material without prior approval, with prominent source acknowledgment; third-party material is excluded. WORTH99 reproduces only these four published aggregate figures, not respondent-level NSS data or other separately governed survey products. This source cannot support a personal net-worth percentile and does not imply Government of India endorsement.
PRODUCT BOUNDARY
Browseable does not mean rankable.
WORTH99 keeps useful wealth evidence visible even when the source cannot support a defensible personal percentile. This page does not invent missing assets, liabilities, household distributions or percentile thresholds.
